Like they say, you never get a second chance to make a first impression. The same is true for subject lines – Good ones get opened, while others don’t. To help you improve your engagement we've listed some things to consider when you're writing your next subject line.
Word Count – Mailchimp recommends keeping your subject lines to no more than 9 words and 60 characters.
Ask Questions – Studies show that by asking a question, you increase open rates. A question can help prompt a response from your audience.
Action Verbs – Action words like Get, Do, Try and Make are all powerful and can help drive a positive response.
Make It Personal – Personalising your subject lines with the recipient's name or location has shown to increase open rates.
Case – Studies show that using all caps is bad. Try using title case for better results.
